Maradona of hockey will come to Bangladesh again

Two years ago, Shahbaz Ahmed came to Bangladesh as an advisory coach of Shakib Al Hasan’s Monarch Mart Padma in the franchise hockey league. This time he is coming to the Premier League with the responsibility of Mohammedan Sporting.

Dhaka Mohammedan Club wants Shahbaz Ahmed as an advisory coach. A letter signed by the club’s director-in-charge Feroze has been sent to the general secretary of the Bangladesh Hockey Federation seeking assistance regarding Shahbaz’s visa.

Shahbaz Ahmed has a different identity in subcontinental hockey. He is called the ‘Maradona of hockey’. This star, who won the 1994 World Cup for Pakistan, will now work for Mohammedan. Shahbaz became the hat-trick champion for this team in the 90s. Tahir Zaman and Kamran Ashraf were also with him at that time.
