The Jita-Kioi Judo Training Camp and the 2nd Bhutan Jita-Kioi International Judo Competition were held in Thimphu, Bhutan from February 10 to 14. There, Bangladesh’s Dipu Dewan won the gold medal in the +66 kg weight category.Also, in the team event, Dipur’s team won the second gold medal as the group champion.

General Secretary of Bangladesh Judo Federation Kamrun Nahar Hiru is leading with two youngsters who have won medals in foreign soil for Bangladesh. According to the information provided by the federation, this is the first time a Bangladeshi judoka has won a gold medal on foreign soil.
