Hill regions are not lagging behind in the progress of education: MP Dipankar

Rangamati: The president of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Dipankar Talukder MP has commented that the hill region is not lagging behind in the progress of education like the rest of the country.  

He said this while addressing the chief guest at the farewell reception for the retiring teachers at Kachalong Government Degree College, the highest educational institution of Durgam Baghaichhari Upazila of Rangamati, on Sunday (February 18).

The MP said that many schools and colleges have been nationalized during the Awami League government. Once again we formed the government. Many more schools and colleges will be governmentized during this period. Awami League government is determined to improve education.

The principal of the college. District Awami League Vice President Brishketu Chakma, Baghaichhari Upazila Parishad Chairman Sudarshan Chakma, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shirin Akhter and Regional Council member Haji Kamal Uddin, Baghaichhari Municipal Mayor Zamir Hossain and other teachers and students of the college gave a speech under the chairmanship of Nazrul Islam. was present  

At the end of the meeting, the guests gave a farewell reception to the 16 retiring teachers.
