Dhaka: The government has promoted 711 lecturers of BCS general education cadre to the post of assistant professor.
The notification in this regard was issued on Sunday (February 18) signed by the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education on February 15.
The notification is available on the website of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education.
As per National Pay Scale-2015 Grade VI, Tk 35,500-76,010 (scale of pay) they have been promoted to the post of Assistant Professor.
The promoted officers will hold previous duties (where applicable) on joining as Officers on Special Duty (OSD) of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education until further orders, the notification said.
According to the instructions of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, the release and joining process of the promoted officers should be done online.
Insitu or affiliated Assistant Professors will be entitled to salary and other allowances at the rates fixed by their respective posts after the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education.
