Quackquarelli Symonds (QS), a UK-based education and research institute, publishes various rankings of the world’s best universities every year. This year the ‘QS Best Student Cities’ ranking has been published by the Institute of Education and Research. London, the capital of the United Kingdom, has been named the world’s best city for higher education for university students. QS has released its list of the world’s 160 best cities to study abroad in 2024. 18 London universities have made it to the QS World University Rankings this year.
According to Hindustan Times, Tokyo is the second capital of Japan and South Korea’s Seoul is third in the list. Destinations for higher education for foreign students are selected based on academic facilities, quality of life, university quality, accommodation costs and job opportunities.

The QS Best Student Cities ranking is based on six criteria. These are university ranking, student mix, desirability, employer activity, affordability and student views.
