On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, Bashundhara Kings will take to the field wearing Bengali alphabet jerseys. The club has taken this initiative to pay respect to language martyrs.This has been confirmed by the club authorities. Usually the name is written in English letters on the jersey.
The champions will play against Rahmatganj on Friday in the eighth round of the league. The match will start at 5:15 PM at Kings Arena. The name of the players and jersey number will be written on the jersey in Bengali and the letters of the Bengali alphabet will be written on the jersey. The Kings have another game in February. However, it is not confirmed whether the same jersey will be played in that match on 23rd.
Bashundhara Kings are at the top of the points list after winning six out of seven matches in this league. Sixth place Rahmatganj drew in seven matches. Since 2018, the Kings have brought innovation since entering the country’s top level football.
