At the end of four rounds, Zia was third

After the fourth round of the current LR Global Grandmaster Esperant 1 chess competition sponsored by the Canadian University of Bangladesh, organized by the Grandmaster Esperant and with the cooperation of the Bangladesh Chess Federation, Grandmaster Ziaur Rahman of Bangladesh is joint number three with three players. India’s International Master Mayank Chakraborty and Fidemaster Panisar Bidanta are parallel to him with two and a half points.

Singapore’s international master Jagodis Siddharth is at the top. He has 4 points in 4 games. International mastermaster Liange Ranindu Dilshan is second with 3.5 points from 4 games.

International Master Jagodis Siddharth defeated India’s Fidemaster Ardhya Garg, Grandmaster Ziaur Rahman Sri Lanka’s International Master De Silva, Sri Lanka’s International Master Liange Ranindu Dilshan defeated India’s Grandmaster Dibyendu Barua and India’s Fide Master Panisa Vidanta Niaz Morshed in the fourth round match held at the Canadian University of Bangladesh Auditorium on Thursday.

International master Mohammad Fahad Rahman drew with India’s international master Mayank Chakraborty. The fifth round will start tomorrow (Friday) from 10 am at the same venue.
